Smart Lighting Phone Apps - Multi Coloured LED Lights
Smart Garden Lights enable garden or external lighting to be controlled by devices such as a mobile phone or tablet. You can choose from an array of bulbs or light panels to achieve the perfect illumination of your garden and outdoor space.
Smart Garden Lights can be installed to any specification you wish simply decide which kinds of lights you would like to add to your outdoor space and where you want these to be located, ideally so that they illuminate existing features such as hedges, trees, pathways or boundaries.

Bluetooth Smart Garden Lighting Systems with Timer
The Techmar Smart Garden Lights work using Bluetooth rather than Wi-Fi. This is done via your smartphone or tablet using a free-to-download app which is available in the Apple Store and Google Play Store. Once you've downloaded the app, you'll need to set up your account, which doesn't take long. The App and all updates are totally free.
Your Bluetooth needs to be switched on to set up the lights and to manually switch them on or off. They also need to be powered on via the transformer for them to work. Once you set up a timer on the app, it stores it on the Smart device. Therefore, if you are not at home, your lights will behave exactly how you have set them up.
Turning Garden Lights into Smart Lights
The Techmar Smart Switch Plus is easy to retrofit to existing Techmar systems or with your new Garden Lights from the start. It uses Bluetooth and has a maximum range of 80 meters with a maximum loading of 150W. The Switch Plus is also controlled via the free Garden Lights app.
The Smart Switch Plus allows you to easily set up numerous timer programs as well as automatic dusk and dawn switching on and off. You can also manually switch the Smart Switch on with the Techmar Garden Lights app. You can use multiple switches to create zones allowing you to switch different areas and zones separately. For example, you may want the patio circuit on every night from dusk to 11pm but the border lighting on at 8pm and off at 10pm for example.
What Can Smart Garden Lights Do?
Depending on the number of Smart Lights or Smart Switches you install, you can start to set up different Zones and Scenes.
Zones
Zones are a particular area that you are lighting. A zone could for example include seating area lighting, post lights, pond lighting, pathway lighting or border spotlights. Examples of zones include border spotlights, seating area post lights or pond lighting. You can name each zone on the app, making it quick and easy to change the lighting in the zone you wish.
Scenes
Scenes are groups of zones. You may for instance want to add border lights and pathway lights and have them on a timer to come on and off at certain times. Another example could be controlling the brightness or hue of a scene, perhaps for a bbq or garden party, where you'd like to dim the lighting and create a warmer feel.
Timer
A timer can be set up for every day of the week, weekdays or just weekends. You can adjust this to be various times during the year so that in the darker months, the lights will come on earlier and in the lighter months won't be wasting energy being on while it's still light outside.
Some people will use one Smart switch plugged directly into the transformer to control all the lights in the system. Others will want to use several Smart switches to control different zones or areas within the garden. Each zone will require a separate smart switch and have a live 12v feed directly from the transformer if you want total control.
